Dismal River Red Course part 3

Finishing up the ground portion of this painting. Continues to be more red than I had anticipated. In trying to match up colors it is always interesting to see what colors will be required. The color wheel is always a great reference and determining which way to go is not always as easy as it should be. The greens themselves are in the sunlight and much more white and yellow than one would think necessary. My canvas is a little smaller than the photo, so I had to crop out a portion of the foreground fairway grass. The little patches of sunlight are what stood out to me in this picture, and so far they are coming across as planned.
